    Description

Uruguayan peso has been a name of the Uruguayan currency since Uruguay's settlement by Europeans. The present currency, the peso uruguayo was adopted in 1993 and is subdivided into 100 centésimos. There are no centésimo coins currently in circulation.
Besides this auction, I am posting several auctions listing all of the currency and coins that were collected by my father as he traveled.  He passed away recently and I thought his saved currencies may be appreciated by others.
I will be happy to combine auctions and use one mailing envelope - Flat Rate Priority.  I use Priority because it can be tracked and it's insured up to a certain point.
