    Description

A large 1000 Mark German Reichsbank bank note, circulated, dated 1910.
    It measures 187mm x 108 mm.
This bill featuring the 2 red seals on its front was printed until the end of the first world war in 1918.. and was printed in great numbers by Germany to finance their war effort.
These bills were not backed by any hard assets, they were just printed up.. and therefore were an early form of fiat currency.
Because of this, the 1910 1000 mark note with red seals bears a certain historical significance.
